To register for this feature you must first establish an online account.

When you create your new online account, you can register to receive alerts (by email or text message) whenever your water meter detects a leak., or when you go over your personalized water usage threshold. Below are the steps to register for this feature.

Below is also directions on how to read your water meter. By knowing how to read your water meter you are also able to see whether you may have a possible water leak, if you don't have an online bill portal account with us (you pay your bill in person or through the phone).

How to Register for Manage Alerts

Step 1.Login in to your online account

Step 2.Click  on "Manage Alerts"

  • For single accounts: On the bill portal user account homepage, click on: “Manage Alerts."
  • For multiple accounts: On the bill portal user account home page go to: “More” > “Consumption” > “Manage Alerts” if managing multiple commercial accounts. (Re-do this step for each account)

Step 3.Choose your notification method

  • Under the “Usage” page, select your preferred notification method (email or text message).

Step 4.Set up leak alerts

  • Select “Leak Alerts” and click “Sign Up” to receive notifications if a leak is detected.

Step 5.Set up consumption threshold alerts

  • Choose “Consumption Threshold Alerts” and enter the number of gallons that exceeds your typical daily usage. Then click “Sign Up” to receive notifications when that limit is surpassed.

How to Read Your Water Meter

Step 1.Access your water meter

KAMSTRUP Smart Meters are installed outside of your residence or  commercial property. They can aid you in detecting possible water leaks. After checking for leaks on common areas like toilets and faucets, use the meter codes below to identify potential issues.

Step 2.Check for codes

Below are possible codes that might be on. These informational codes and symbols will automatically turn off when the conditions that activated them no longer exist. If you find a leak, please have it repaired as soons as possible to avoid higher bills. Contact us with any questions.

Reverse Flow Icon

Reverse flow: Arrow shows water flowing the wrong direction.

Leak Icon

Leak: Flashing symbol indicates water has flowed for 24 hours, suggesting a leak.

Pipe Leak Icon

Burst: Flashing symbol indicates flow exceeds a preset limit for 30 minute suggesting a pipe break.

Dry Icon

Dry: Flashing symbol means the meter is not filled with water.

Hand Icon

Tamper: Icon shows an attempted fraud, making the meter invalid for billing.

Radio Signal Icon

RADIO OFF: Indicates the meter is in transport mode with the radio off. It activates automatically after ½ liter of water flows through the meter.

Low Battery Icon

Battery LOW: Icon indicates battery life is under 6 months.
