Diane Haseltine brings more than five decades of professional excellence and community leadership to her role as a Resident Representative for The Cascades. A dedicated resident of The Cascades for 23 years, Diane and her husband, Edward Haseltine, relocated to Florida in 2003 when Edward joined Pratt & Whitney, contributing to the financial management of the F-22 project.
Before moving to Florida, Diane spent 40 years in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she built a distinguished career as a registered nurse specializing in operating room management. In 1984, she participated in a professional exchange program in the Soviet Union, studying surgical and operating room practices to compare healthcare systems between the two nations. Upon returning to Springfield, she was appointed Operating Room Manager, overseeing ten operating rooms, four eye centers, three endoscopy suites, and both pre- and post-operative care departments—managing a team of over 100 nurses and technicians.
After relocating to Florida, Diane continued her medical career at Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital, where she worked in the Operating Room and Endoscopy Suite. She retired in 2025, concluding an extraordinary 58-year career in nursing.
Throughout her years in The Cascades, Diane has served her community in multiple leadership roles, including President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. She considers her involvement with the St. Lucie West Services District one of the most rewarding experiences of her life, allowing her to combine her dedication to service with her passion for enhancing the St. Lucie West community.
