Public Advisory – Sewer System

SLWSD will be conducting routine sewer smoke testing from Mar. 30 to Apr. 3 in the following St. Lucie West Communities:

  • Enclave
  • West Brook Isles
  • Sun Terrace

SLWSD uses a harmless, white to yellowish-white smoke, which helps identify sewer odors, leaks, and line breaks. It is safe for people, pets, and plants. If smoke enters your home, simply ventilate the area.

You may notice smoke coming from:

  • Sewer vents
  • Gutters and downspouts
  • Ground areas along sewer lines
